As part of the Yonderland group, Ayacucho is aligned with its ambitious climate strategy. Yonderland follows the Paris Agreement and has set Science-Based Targets (SBTi) to reduce its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, aiming to limit global warming to 1.5°C.

Our role in Scope 3

As one of Yonderland’s leading brands, Ayacucho plays a key role in reducing  Scope 3 emissions those linked to our value chain. Because we have greater control over design, materials, and production, we can actively drive change.

We prioritise:

  •  The use of lower-impact materials
  •  Collaboration with suppliers on environmental practices
  •  Encouraging factories to adopt environmental policies
  •  Assessing impact during the design process

Our goal is to help ensure that 74.6% of suppliers (by emissions) set their own reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement.

We’ve made progress — but there’s more to do. Together with our partners, we’re working step by step toward a lower-impact future.

Where We Produce

At Ayacucho, we aim to bring production closer to home, to reduce transport emissions, support local economies, and uphold high labour and environmental standards. That’s why we’re gradually expanding production in Europe, including Portugal and Romania.

However, much of our gear is still made in Asia. This is where many of our technical fabrics originate and where specialised expertise and efficient supply chains allow us to produce high-quality technical outdoor gear at accessible prices.

Rather than shifting production entirely, we focus on building long-term partnerships with trusted suppliers, wherever they are. This helps us maintain quality, ensure responsible practices, and continue investing in sustainable materials and community support.

We’re exploring ways to bring more production closer to our key markets, step by step, and always with care.
